Information Systems Project Management

Explores the principles of information systems (IS) project management. Roles and responsibilities, assembling and managing resources, establishing a project budget, estimation, managing costs, critical tasks, task dependencies and managing task delays are some of the topics covered.

The management of iterative, incremental and sequential processes is discussed, as are the techniques, including scheduling and tracking progress, Gantt and flow charts and PERT analysis.

The subject also looks at risks in IS projects and the management of those risks throughout the project lifecycle. Finally, the subject examines stakeholder interaction, and the behavioural and organisational aspects of managing projects.
