The agreement for Inspera, the service for digital examinations, has been extended by four years, until 30 September 2028, through an agreement via Sunet. During this period, the agreement is extended one year at a time and can be terminated if necessary.
Continued use of Inspera for digital exams
This means that staff at Lund University can continue to use Inspera for digital exams for another four years, without having to learn a new tool. Many teachers appreciate digital examinations because grading is smoother, and students’ computers can be locked during the exam to prevent browsing and the use of ChatGPT. Teachers who have used Inspera are generally satisfied with the tool, although there are some details that can be improved.
Sunet will soon initiate a new procurement process for digital examinations, so that a new agreement can be in place well before the current one expires.
Students prefer digital exams with proper preparation
In general, students seem to prefer taking their exams digitally. The technology can sometimes create stress, but if preparations are made in good time and any issues are resolved or loan computers are booked in advance, it works smoothly in the exam hall.
