Feedback Fruits
Feedback Fruits is a digital tool for peer feedback and student-active learning. During the spring semester of 2026, you can participate in testing the tool. You use it directly in Canvas.
Feedback Fruits consists of 15 integrated tools that support different forms of feedback and collaboration. The tools help you to
- structure peer response
- clarify assessment criteria
- engage students in each other's learning process
- prepare students for examinations.
Since the tool is integrated into Canvas, you can use it in your existing course rooms without logging into a separate system.
Who can use Feedback Fruits?
The tool is aimed at those who
- teach at basic or advanced level
- give formative or summative feedback
- work with self- and peer assessment in their courses.
You will receive support in getting started and have the opportunity to contribute your views in the university's evaluation.
How to start using Feedback Fruits
You can find Feedback Fruits in your course room in Canvas. Add the tool as an activity in the same way as other Canvas assignments. If you need help getting started, please feel free to contact us.

Choose tools based on your teaching goals
There is a general decision-making model that helps you choose the right tools based on your teaching goals.
The model is based on common teaching goals, such as
- allowing students to give and receive feedback
- stimulating discussion
- promoting self-reflection
- organising group work
- engaging students during lectures
Based on your goal, you will receive suggestions for suitable tools, such as Peer Review or Self Assessment. The model makes it easier to quickly find a tool that suits the activity and learning objectives.

Why are we testing the tool?
We are testing Feedback Fruits because it is pedagogically well thought out and has a clear focus on student learning. During the spring, the university has access to all 15 tools.
After the test period, we will conduct an evaluation. If the results are positive, we will apply for funding to continue using the tools that provide the most value in teaching.
