About Canvas
Canvas is Lund Universitys university wide learning platform for teaching and learning. Canvas is used by countless universities from all over the world. Only in Sweden there are 26 institutions - an excellent common ground to enable cooperation and collaboration.
Canvas has a lot of different features supporting teaching and learning activities. Canvas enables many forms of communication, for instance via forum, chatt or mail. You may also use the speedgrader for feedback in different assignments types. Structure your course material uploaded documents, images, videos -in themes or weeks - in order to make it accessible and easy to find for your students. Students i Canvas has their own canvas collaboration pages enabled via groups. Here they can discuss via forum or chatt, share files or create text or presentations together. You can test your students knowledge through formative or summative quizzes or assignments. These can be written but can also be enriched by images or recordings in Canvas video tool Studio.
Why Canvas?
Canvas is offered to everyone at the university and replaces Live@Lund and LUVIT. The end of life of these platforms was decided by the system managers.
