About eMeetings
In the eMeeting you can see and talk to your students, show presentations and even have break out groups for smaller group discussions. Lectures, presentations or instructions can be recorded and published in your digital learning environment.
Zoom, Teams or Conferences
At Lund University we have LU Zoom, Teams and Conferences (via ZoomI) to choose between. Since the start of Covid-19 both LU Zoom and Teams have worked excellent whereas Conference unfortunately does not perform as well.
LU Zoom
Lund University has an instance of Zoom that is separated from the commercial version. Here you may:
- have 300 participants
- schedule your meetings
- create safe meetings
- share your screen
- record your meeting and download it to your computer
- have a virtual background
- interact with participants with whiteboards and annotations
- create breakout room for smaller group discussions
Everyone in the meeting can use the microphone and the camera.
Special versions of Zoom
If you want to hold a session with more than 300 participants you can order a Large meeting (500 persons). Everyone can have a microphone and Camera. An alternative is an a Zoom Webinar. This is a more advanced meeting format where only you and participants you select in before can interact in a panel. The other participants may here only participate through the chatt.
You can book a Large Meeting or Zoom Webinar through this form at LDC.
