The procurement of the learning platform is once again interrupted

The ongoing procurement of a learning platform through NORDUnet has been interrupted again due to an appeal. In the spring, the procurement had to be halted due to uncertainties in the bidding process. Here's a brief update on the current situation.

What happens now?

The procurement of the learning platform is once again delayed, and NORDUnet is actively working with Sunet (Swedish University Computer Network) to resolve the situation. The procurement will restart, with the goal of completion by the end of the year.

How does this affect Lund University?

Lund University's current contract for the Canvas learning platform is valid for six years and expires in the fall of 2024. It's over a year until the new procurement needs to be completed. The Teaching Support Unit is monitoring the procurement and providing ongoing updates. The goal is for Lund University to continue to have access to a good learning platform.
