About us

The Unit for Educational Services was established in early 2022 as a permanent continuation of the Digital Learning Environments project. Here, you can learn about our mission and organization.

Our Mission

Our mission primarily involves three tasks:

  1. Coordinating and managing the university's common digital systems for teaching, such as learning platforms and other procured digital tools.
  2. Providing various forms of support to ensure that staff and students can effectively use these tools in their pedagogy and studies.
  3. Managing the websites campusonline.lu.se for students and education.lu.se for teaching staff. The purpose of these sites is to guide through the increasingly digital learning environment.

Our Organization

The Unit for Educational Services is part of Lund University's central administration. Those working in the unit include digital tool specialists, educators, educational developers, as well as technical and administrative staff. Most of our employees also hold positions in the faculties or in the central administration of Lund University. Several student assistants also work in our support. The head of the unit is Bo-Anders Jönsson. For a list of all our staff members, see the page Our staff.

Our employer is the university-wide Education Board in consultation with the administrative director. Internally, we collaborate primarily with:

  • Sections within the central administration.
  • The university's educational development units.
  • The libraries.
