Canvas Onsite in Lund
Welcome to an advanced training day in the Canvas learning platform! Throughout the day, there will be four 90-minute sessions where you can learn more about accessibility, course design, groups, and assignments in Canvas.
Each session includes a demonstration of the feature, group discussions, and practical exercises. Ivana Vesela is the instructor for all four sessions, each with a different focus. She comes from Instructure, the company behind Canvas. You sign up for each session individually and can participate in as many as you like and have time for. The sessions are primarily held in English. Coffee or tea breaks are included but not lunch.
Programme
1. Develop and Deliver Accessible Learning Environments
Learn how to build Canvas courses that are accessible to all students. Participants will be introduced to methods, tools, and functionalities in Canvas that should be utilized by teachers and administrators to facilitate an inclusive and accessible learning experience.

Learn how to apply best practices for course design when creating or evaluating courses in Canvas.

3. Groups and Collaboration
Learn how to create opportunities for student collaboration in Canvas using groups. Explore how to create and manage groups and group activities, collaboration tools that students can use in groups, and best practices to promote effective group work.

4. Assignments, Grades, and Feedback
Discover how to create and manage various formative and summative assessments in Canvas, as well as the tools available to enhance and provide feedback to your students.
