LU-employees can now use the AI assistant Copilot (previously known as Bing Chat) for free

Employees at Lund University can now use the generative AI tool Copilot (previously known as Bing Chat) through Office 365. Copilot can be used, for example, to search for information, analyze data, create images, or improve text. Copilot uses Chat GPT-4 and has internet access.

To use Copilot, you need to have the Microsoft Edge browser installed. Open the browser and find the Copilot icon or type "Copilot" in the search field. You don't need to create an account; you are automatically logged in with your LUCAT credentials.

Your conversations are not saved in Copilot, so you need to copy everything you want to keep. Remember not to provide any personal information or copyrighted material when writing prompts to Copilot.

At present, Copilot is not available for LU employees in other Microsoft programs than the web browser Edge.
