Lund University has launched a two-year project aimed at enhancing accessible and inclusive teaching. The project, led by the Unit for Educational Support, focuses on increasing the competencies of teachers and staff through targeted initiatives and unified guidelines. A new advisory function will also be established to support faculties in this endeavor.

The number of students requiring educational support has increased by 70% over the past five years. To address this growing need and create a better learning environment for all, the university aims to strengthen and coordinate its efforts.

Project Goals

  • Make Lund University more accessible and inclusive for both students and staff.
  • Empower teachers and academic advisors in providing accessible teaching.
  • Develop a unified approach to planning and implementing accessible and inclusive teaching.

Organization

The project is led by Ann-Catrin Johansson and Lotta Åbjörnsson from the Unit for Educational Support, with a steering group chaired by Pro Vice-Chancellor Jimmie Kristensson.
