Mentimeter
Mentimeter is a digital tool that you can use to quickly increase engagement and interactivity in your lectures, meetings, and events.
With Mentimeter, you can
- create word clouds where participants can anonymously share an experience
- create a quiz to test participants' knowledge or lighten the mood
- conduct a survey to gauge the mood in the classroom, gather material for group discussions, or evaluate something.
How to log in to Mentimeter
As an employee at Lund University, you can log in with your LU account to access Mentimeter. The university's license allows you to use the tool an unlimited number of times and with all features. If you log in as a private user instead, you can create a maximum of three presentations.
To start using Mentimeter with your LU account, log in via our link:
Log in to Mentimeter with your LU account here – mentimeter.com.
If you are asked to enter a “company name”, enter “lunduniversity.”
Use Mentimeter in different contexts
Participants in a Mentimeter are always completely anonymous, as long as they do not choose to write their name or identify themselves in any other way. Mentimeter is therefore a tool that creates a safe environment for your participants to express themselves and engage in a group.
You can use Mentimeter as a separate tool or incorporate it into your PowerPoint presentation to bring both classroom lectures and Zoom lectures to life. For example, it can be useful at the beginning of a course to get an idea of the students' prior knowledge. However, do not use Mentimeter for examinations: there is no secure way to save the results.
